Hawksmoor has opened in Dublin

Hawksmoor has just opened in the heart of Dublin, in the historic National Bank building on College Green. Featuring an impressive 152-seat restaurant, an elegant back-to-back bar and a private dining space, Hawksmoor Dublin sensitively celebrates the handsome fabric of the former bank, an ornately detailed Italianate building designed by William Barnes in 1835.

The drinks menu features collaborations with Irish brands including a bespoke gin created by Boatyard Distillery in Co. Fermanagh, specifically to be used in Hawksmoor’s Ultimate Martini. Dublin-only cocktails include Gold Fashioned – a twist on Hawksmoor’s signature Full-Fat Old Fashioned made by infusing Irish whiskey with lightly browned Kerrygold butter and flavouring it with toasted coconut, chamomile and salted local honey.

All of Hawksmoor’s signature dishes are present and correct, but tweaked to include some great Irish ingredients the team has enjoyed discovering, from Flaggy Shore oysters and Andarl Farm pork belly ribs to Kylemore and Young Buck cheeses. A new must-try dish is the Dublin Lawyer – whole lobster for two to share baked with Teeling Blackpitts peated single malt whiskey, leeks, cream and a little Cáis na Tire cheese.

Hawksmoor Dublin is open for dinner all week and lunch Wednesday to Sunday.
