Timothy Taylor’s has appointed Heike Funke as Pub Estate Operations Manager.

Funke will be responsible for the efficient operation and profitability of the brewery’s managed pubs as well as overseeing the smooth running of a number of tenanted pubs.

She joins Taylor’s after spending nine years with Punch Taverns as Senior Business Development Manager, looking after 55 leased and tenanted pubs throughout the North of England. Whilst with Punch Funke won the Association of Licensed Multiple Retailers ‘Operations Manager of the Year’ award.

Commenting on her appointment Funke said: “It’s great to be joining a company that truly believes in upholding the traditions and values of the English pub. The fact that they also produce such a fantastic range of beers is a real bonus! I’m looking forward to working closely with the managers and tenants to help maximise the full potential of their operation.”

Timothy Taylor’s operates a pub estate of 19 managed and tenanted pubs in and around West & North Yorkshire and East Lancashire. They range from town centre taverns and community locals to bar eateries and moorland country inns.

Operations Director Andrew Daykin added: “Heike is a very welcome addition to our Pub Estate team. She joined at an interesting time for Timothy Taylor’s as we look to expand the estate as and when the right pubs become available.”
