Kibou continues expansion plans with new site in Cambridge

Kibou Japanese Kitchen & Bar, which has venues in Cheltenham, Battersea, Bristol and Solihull, looks to continue its expansion across the country.

The eatery will open on Jesus Lane, Cambridge, in the building that was previously occupied by Pizza Express. It will undergo a full redesign with a focus on 'a unique and eye-catching Japanese-inspired space' that will include the company's trademark murals and digital animations.

The 150-cover bar and restaurant will include a cocktail lounge and two dining rooms. Each will be featured against a traditional Japanese block print fabric with neon signage and dramatic lighting.

The menu will focus on their signature sushi rolls as well as their sushi and sashimi platters. There will also be a range of classic and contemporary Japanese dishes, such as ramen, katsu curry, bao buns and gyozas.
