Byron Burger Club and four new sites
Byron has launched the Byron Burger Club to reward customers and “open the doors to the inner workings of our kitchens”.

Members of the Byron Burger Club will be invited to new openings, tastings, street food parties and other events the company throws.

They will also be the first to hear about the chains’ new one-off club nights hosted by their chef Fred, featuring bespoke menus of things they are working on.

The chain is also opening four new sites, Milton Keynes early March, Regent Street in London in late March, and Chiswick and York in early April.

Quiznos
As we reported last year, Quiznos is re-entering the UK Market. The sub chain has now confirmed the first new site will open on 20th February at Aldgate East Tube station.

Jack Rai, franchisee director, Quiznos UK, said they plan to open 10 sites in 2014, with three sites opening over the next two months.

Paul UK appoints commercial director
Paul UK has appointed Darren Williams as its new commercial director. Prior to this he was Head of Retail at Hotel Chocolat for five years, and has also worked as a Retail Development Manager at Costa.

Patty & Bun to open second site in London
Patty & Bun has secured their second site in London, the former Ping Pong Now site at 22-23 Liverpool Street.

The business, co-founded by Joe Grossman and Mark Jankel opened their first permanent site at 54 St James St, Marylebone after a series of pop-ups.

GBK appoints new FD
Gourmet Burger Kitchen has appointed Gerard Carolan as its new finance director. He was previously FD at Pizza Hut UK.

Handmade opening news sites
Handmade Burger Co is to open its second site in Leeds at the White Rose centre late March/early April and is also opening a unit in The Courthouse on Deansgate this spring. The new sites will take the Birmingham-based chains estate to 20 in the UK.

The Sargeant Partnership operates handmade burger Co, Chilacas and Urban Pie, and they plan a further four new openings in 2014.

Chilango opening two new London sites
Chilango is opening two new London sites in the coming months. They will be opening a site in March in Cannon Street and in April they open on Brewer Street in Soho, next door to Apostrophe. The new sites take their London estate to eight sites and they have others in the pipeline.

Giraffe opens refurbished site in Richmond
Giraffe has re-opened its branch in Richmond, Surrey on Monday after a two week refurbishment to give the site a "new and improved" look.

The trial design has a more "neighbourhood focus feel" and goes back to the chains “roots”.

The chain is looking at opening further sites including Wisbeech in Cambridgeshire.
